JOB SUMMARY An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Finance professional to join a growing, technology-enabled education company in a CFO-facing leadership role.

The incumbent will drive strategic business finance, financial planning and analysis, commercial decision support, pricing strategy, revenue optimization, profitability improvement and cost control.

The role requires strong financial modelling capabilities, commercial acumen and the ability to partner with senior business stakeholders.

This is a Business Finance and Commercial Strategy role, not a traditional accounting or controllership position.

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Finance & Strategic Partnering
• Partner with the CFO and senior business leaders on business planning, financial performance and commercial decisions.
• Translate business objectives into financial plans, KPIs and actionable recommendations.
• Identify revenue-growth opportunities, profitability levers and business-performance risks.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and scenario modelling.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and work with business owners on corrective actions.
• Pricing & Commercial Finance
• Evaluate pricing models, discounts, commercial proposals and contract economics.
• Analyse revenue drivers, school sign-ups, customer/product mix and margin trends.
• Develop financial models to support pricing decisions and revenue optimization.
• Unit Economics & Profitability
• Analyze customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), contribution margins and acquisition payback.
• Evaluate product/customer-segment profitability and cost-to-serve.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend measures to improve margins.
• Collections & Working Capital
• Monitor collections, outstanding receivables and cash-flow implications.
• Partner with business teams to strengthen collection efficiency and financial discipline.
• Evaluate payment terms and their impact on working capital.
• Marketing ROI & Investment Analysis
• Assess marketing spend effectiveness and return on investment.
• Evaluate business cases for new initiatives, products, partnerships and commercial opportunities.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, NPV, IRR and payback analysis wherever relevant.
• MIS, Dashboards & Leadership Reporting
• Develop management dashboards and performance reports.
• Track revenue, pricing, margins, costs, collections and key business KPIs.
• Present actionable financial insights to the CFO and senior stakeholders.
• Process Improvement & Governance
• Strengthen financial controls, commercial approval frameworks and budgeting processes.
• Improve reporting accuracy, data reliability and automation of recurring analyses.
• Promote financial accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

MANDATE CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 10 to 15 years of experience in Business Finance, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering.
• MBA in Finance from a premier/Tier-1 institute is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Experience in pricing strategy, commercial analysis, unit economics and profitability management.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and support business decisions through financial insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

provided they have substantial Business Finance/Commercial Finance experience.
