Veeva Systems is hiring an Associate Software Engineer - Test Automation (Infra) for its Vault Automation Platform & Tools team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on infrastructure test automation, cloud-based infrastructure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, API automation, and improving automation frameworks for infrastructure features such as high availability, disaster recovery, and zero-downtime upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Understand Vault infrastructure architecture and test infrastructure changes using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Set up, maintain, test, and improve infrastructure test environments.
• Develop and contribute to test automation for infrastructure features including zero-downtime upgrades, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Apply programming skills to automate and optimize testing of cloud-based infrastructure.
• Build, maintain, and improve existing automation frameworks, test harnesses, and testing processes.
• Execute automation tests and verify bugs and fixes.
• Triage automation results and verify outcomes within release milestones.
• Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and QA engineers.
• Communicate project status, risks, and progress effectively with managers and team leads.
• Contribute to automation and quality improvements in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in software test automation or an SDET role.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or Bash/Shell.
• Hands-on experience with API automation using RestAssured or an equivalent framework.
• Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, load balancers, IAM, EKS, and other AWS services.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with GitLab and GitHub.
• Ability to work from the Hyderabad Veeva office four days per week.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum development practices.
• Ability to support multiple features in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
