Associate - SALT - Income & Franchise Tax

Weaver is looking for talented US Tax professionals at the Associate level candidates to join our growing firm!

The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is provisions-focused, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter and understand that the busy season for work often differs from a typical tax busy season.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

A minimum of 1 or more years of experience in US Corporate tax.

Proficient in CCH Axcess, Prosystem Fx Engagement, Gofile room.

Experience in Preparing federal tax returns – Partnership or Corporate returns (Form 1065, Form 1120).

Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Willing to work in the office with team members and managers.

Problem solving skills and able to work independently successfully.

Able to work flexible hours when key client or team meetings are needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).

Additionally, The Following Qualifications Are Preferred

Master’s degree in accounting, or related field is preferred.

EA, CPA, CPA candidate, CA or CA candidate, CMA or CMA candidate.

Knowledge/experience of Real Estate industry along with knowledge in Tax Journal entries & knowledge Tax adjustments.

Strong knowledge of excel and formula usage wherever applicable.

Experience with tax research software tools, such as Checkpoint, or CCH.

Experience in Preparing State tax returns.
