Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial, corporate and business agreements, including vendor agreements, service agreements, MoUs, NDAs, partnership agreements, consultancy agreements and employment-related documents.
  • Review and negotiate institutional/academic agreements with universities, colleges and other educational institutions.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advisory to business and internal stakeholders on contractual and operational matters.
  • Identify legal and commercial risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, renewals, amendments and maintaining proper documentation/audit trails.
  • Support regulatory and compliance matters, including data privacy, consumer protection, advertising/marketing and education-sector regulations.
  • Handle legal notices, complaints, disputes and litigation matters, including coordination with external counsel.
  • Work closely with Business, HR, Finance, Operations, Sales and other internal teams on legal requirements.

Requirements

  • LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
  • 2–4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate/commercial contracts.
  • Prior in-house legal or fast-paced business/startup experience preferred.
  • Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in EdTech, Education, Technology, SaaS or similar industries preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters under tight timelines.
  • Practical, solution-oriented and risk-conscious approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify contractual and commercial risks.
