Job Description & Responsibilities

Associate IT Compliance Analyst — Saravanampatti, Coimbatore This full-time, on-site role is based in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641035, paying ₹59,500 a month. The Associate IT Compliance Analyst supports the security team in assessing where systems fall short of required controls and helping close those gaps before they turn into findings during an audit or, worse, an actual incident. The role sits closer to the documentation and process side of security than the hands-on engineering side, which suits people who enjoy structured problem-solving as much as technical troubleshooting. Day-to-day work Assessing systems for vulnerabilities, working from scan results and manual checks to identify where controls are missing or misconfigured. Implementing protective controls, which in practice means writing configuration changes, updating policy documents, or coordinating with system owners to apply a fix. Supporting incident response when issues are identified, gathering evidence and documentation while the response team handles containment. Recommending improvements to reduce future risk, based on patterns noticed across multiple assessments rather than one-off fixes. A lot of this role runs on documentation. When an auditor asks how a particular control is enforced, the answer needs to be sitting in a file somewhere, not reconstructed from memory in the meeting. Building that habit early, writing things down as you do them rather than after the fact, is one of the more useful things a new analyst can pick up here. Experience and education This position requires 15 months of relevant experience in IT security, compliance, or a closely related function. A bachelor's degree is the baseline qualification, generally in cybersecurity or information technology, though candidates from a general computer science background with genuine security exposure through coursework or projects are also considered. At this experience level, what matters more than the exact degree title is whether you've sat through an audit cycle or control review before, even in a supporting capacity. Skills needed Compliance frameworks. Working familiarity with at least one major framework, such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2, including how controls map to actual technical implementations. Risk assessment. Evaluating likelihood and impact for identified gaps, and being able to explain the reasoning behind a risk rating rather than just assigning one. Documentation. Writing clearly enough that someone unfamiliar with a system can follow the control and its evidence trail. Attention to detail. Catching the small inconsistency between what a policy says and what a system actually does, since that gap is usually where real risk hides. Additional skills that strengthen an application without being mandatory: hands-on exposure to vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys, familiarity with GDPR or India's DPDP Act requirements, and any experience preparing evidence for an external audit. A CompTIA Security+ certification is a reasonable signal of foundational knowledge, though we don't require it at this level. In practice, comfort with spreadsheets for tracking findings across dozens of controls simultaneously matters more than people expect. Compensation and benefits Alongside the ₹59,500 monthly salary, this role includes: Health insurance covering the employee, with an option to add dependents. Paid time off under the standard company policy. Provident fund contributions as required by law. Relocation assistance and accommodation support for candidates moving to Coimbatore, which is common among employers based in Saravanampatti. Working with the team You'd report to the compliance manager and work alongside two other analysts, plus regular touchpoints with the broader security engineering team when a finding needs a technical fix rather than just a documentation update. Audit season, usually a few weeks each year depending on which certifications the company holds, is genuinely busier than the rest of the calendar, and being upfront about that during hiring feels more useful than pretending every month looks the same. Naukri Mitra carries this listing alongside a growing set of compliance and security roles in Coimbatore, reflecting how much the city's IT sector has expanded its focus on formal security certifications over the past few years. Cross-team meetings happen weekly, where the team reviews open findings and assigns owners and deadlines. Being able to push back diplomatically when a deadline seems unrealistic, rather than just accepting it and missing it later, is a skill this role rewards. New analysts typically shadow an existing team member through their first full audit cycle before being handed independent ownership of a control area. How to apply Send your resume with a short note describing a compliance gap you identified in a past role or project and how you resolved it. The interview process runs two stages: a technical discussion covering frameworks and risk assessment methodology, followed by a scenario exercise where you'll review a sample control gap and propose a remediation plan. Both stages are conducted on-site in Saravanampatti, and the full process typically takes around ten working days from application to decision. Candidates who can walk through their reasoning clearly during the scenario exercise, not just arrive at a correct answer, tend to leave the strongest impression.
