- Ensuring that the QA capability within the squad is delivering and developing in line with organisation's tech standards
- Ensure that a Test Driven approach is adopted on each piece of work
- That all aspects of testing are considered. Functional, Non-functional aspects and internal and external quality of the product
- An 'automation first' approach is always followed for checking
- That Exploratory testing is executed for every story
- That relevant preparation is completed and documented
- That relevant evidence of execution is captured and documented
- That in all activities a 'value add approach' is considered and followed
- Reviewing all lessons learnt to build better approaches for future work
- That learnings are shared with colleagues in the squad or tribe, and QA community
Job Responsibilities
- Proven expertise and delivery experience in software testing
- Very strong knowledge of modern software testing methodologies, tools and processes
- Very strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate a curious, learning and brave approach
- Strong experience in leading and influencing teams in their approach to QA
- Strong experience working in an Agile development process
- Strong exploratory testing skills and experience
- Strong technical testing skills
- Experience of Test Driven approaches to software engineering (ATDD, BDD & TDD)
- Experience with automation with a level of proficient in one language and have the ability to learn others
- Experience in use of tools to solve efficiency issues, such as use of SOAP and/or REST API testing, using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SOAPUI
- Strong experience of non-functional testing, particularly performance and security testing
