Assistant Professor (Data Science / Agentic AI / Machine Learning)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Professor to teach, mentor, and conduct research in Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials, practical industry exposure (preferred), and the ability to deliver high-quality teaching while contributing to curriculum development, research publications, and student mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning.
• Deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, and project guidance.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Mentor students for academic projects, internships, and placements.
• Conduct seminars, workshops, and technical boot camps.
• Evaluate answer scripts, assignments, and practical examinations.

Curriculum Development

• Design and update course curriculum in line with industry trends.
• Prepare laboratory manuals and practical exercises.
• Develop case studies and real-world problem-solving assignments.
• Introduce project-based and outcome-based learning approaches.

Research & Innovation

• Conduct research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, and Agentic AI.
• Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
• Apply for funded research projects and grants.
• Guide students in research publications and innovation competitions.

Student Mentoring

• Guide final-year projects and dissertations.
• Mentor students for hackathons and coding competitions.
• Support career development and higher education preparation.
• Assist students with technical certifications and placement readiness.

Academic Administration

• Participate in accreditation and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to NAAC, NBA, or equivalent documentation.
• Coordinate departmental events, conferences, and workshops.
• Participate in faculty development programs and institutional committees.

Required Qualifications

• M.Tech/M.E./MCA/MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Ph.D. (Completed or Pursuing) in a relevant field is preferred.
• NET/SLET qualification is desirable where applicable.
• Relevant teaching or industry experience is preferred.
