Assistant Manager - Machine Shop Production

Role Description The Assistant Manager – Machine Shop Production will oversee day-to-day production operations in the machine shop, ensuring delivery targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling machining activities, allocating resources, monitoring workflow, and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime. The role requires supervising and guiding shop-floor personnel, resolving production issues, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate production records and reports. The Assistant Manager will collaborate with senior management on continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, and adherence to company standards and customer specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Khandala.

Qualifications

• Strong production planning and production management skills, with experience in scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting output targets.
• Hands-on expertise in machining processes, machine shop operations, and tooling relevant to high-precision manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality management, including quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in inspection techniques, use of measuring instruments, and interpretation of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in machine shop or manufacturing environments, ideally within automotive, tooling, or metal components industries.
• Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Familiarity with safety standards, 5S, lean manufacturing concepts, and basic computer skills for production reporting.
