TECHNICAL Android Mobile Application Developer

We are looking for a skilled Android Mobile Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.

Responsibilities

Design and Development

Develop and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Work with outside data sources and APIs.

Code and Design Reviews

Conduct code reviews and design reviews to ensure quality standards are met.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Testing and Debugging

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

Write unit tests and conduct performance tuning.

Continuous Improvement

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch.

Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.

Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Proven software development experience and Android skills development.

Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

Prior experience in mobile development and deployment.

Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
