Role Description The Analyst Intern will support cybersecurity projects by assisting with security assessments, documentation, and research under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping analyze vulnerabilities in web applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments, preparing draft reports, and tracking remediation recommendations. The intern will contribute to compliance-focused activities, such as gathering evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other frameworks, and maintaining organized records and checklists. The role also involves monitoring security trends, learning relevant tools and methodologies (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS), and participating in internal knowledge sessions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City.

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including web application, API, network, and cloud security.
  • Ability to perform basic vulnerability research, analyze security findings, and assist with penetration testing activities under supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills for preparing structured technical notes and draft assessment reports.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar is preferred.
  • Comfort with using security tools, command-line interfaces, and basic scripting; exposure to Linux and networking fundamentals is beneficial.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to present information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through coursework, projects, certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+), bug bounty, CTFs, or security-focused internships is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Pune
