Role Description The Aluminum Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement of aluminum, aluminum Ingot, Aluminum Scrap; ensuring consistent availability at optimal cost and quality. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The position involves monitoring market trends, managing inventory levels, coordinating with production and quality teams, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedules. The Aluminum Purchase Manager will also manage purchase documentation, maintain accurate records in procurement systems, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role requires regular reporting on material costs, supplier performance, and risk factors, as well as recommending improvements in sourcing strategies and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in metals, materials, or manufacturing environments, with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to analyze pricing, contracts, and market trends, with proficiency in basic data analysis and use of procurement or ERP software.
• Knowledge of aluminum grades, foundry processes, and quality standards, or willingness to quickly learn technical aspects of aluminum sourcing.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, including inventory management, documentation accuracy, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with production, finance, and quality teams, and to resolve supplier issues constructively.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, commerce, business, supply chain, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to risk management and cost optimization.
• Comfort working full time on-site in Ahmedabad and flexibility to visit suppliers or other locations as operational needs require.
