AI Reliability Engineer (AWS/GCP & GenAI)

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced AI Reliability Engineer to design, operate, monitor, and enhance highly reliable AI/ML and Generative AI systems in production. This role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, observability, security, and quality of AI-powered applications and services. The ideal candidate combines strong cloud engineering expertise with hands-on experience in AWS or GCP, Python, GenAI, and Terraform to build resilient, production-grade AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate reliable, scalable production platforms for AI/ML and Generative AI workloads.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS or GCP and Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform.
• Develop and automate platform capabilities using Python to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize AI applications for availability, latency, throughput, scalability, and overall system health.
• Implement observability solutions including metrics, logs, dashboards, ing, and distributed tracing.
• Establish and track service reliability indicators, objectives, and operational metrics for AI services.
• Develop automated processes for incident detection, response, recovery, root cause analysis, and prevention.
• Implement resilience strategies including retries, rate limiting, caching, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery approaches.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployment of AI applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, developers, platform teams, and security teams to improve production readiness.
• Participate in production support, incident management, post-incident reviews, and continuous reliability improvements.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks, monitoring standards, dashboards, and production-readiness processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-8 years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), MLOps, or AI/ML engineering.
• Experience operating production-grade cloud-based or AI/ML systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
