We're Hiring Senior AI/ML Engineer at Kotak Neo

We're rebuilding our technology landscape from the ground up and creating a next-generation AI platform for a highly regulated financial environment. We are looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about building production-grade AI systems that are scalable, reliable, explainable, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Generative AI & Agentic Systems

• Build AI agents with tool/function calling, workflow orchestration, memory management, and autonomous decision-making capabilities.
• Design and optimize RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, and grounded generation with citations.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, guardrails, prompt engineering practices, and monitoring systems for production AI applications.
• Implement controls for PII protection, prompt injection resistance, model routing, semantic caching, and cost optimization.

🔹 Applied Machine Learning

• Develop end-to-end ML solutions for personalization, recommendations, churn prediction, customer intelligence, and segmentation.
• Build risk, anomaly detection, fraud, and behavioral analytics models on large-scale datasets.
• Design and execute experiments with robust measurement frameworks and performance evaluation.

🔹 ML Platform & MLOps

• Build feature stores, training pipelines, model registries, and reproducible ML workflows.
• Deploy and manage real-time and batch inference systems with autoscaling, canary releases, shadow testing, and rollback mechanisms.
• Establish monitoring for model performance, feature health, drift detection, and retraining triggers.
• Enable governance, auditability, lineage tracking, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, or ML Engineering
• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting production AI/ML systems
• Expertise in cloud platforms, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, SQL, and large-scale data processing
• Deep expertise in at least one area: Generative AI, Applied ML, or MLOps

• Vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant, Milvus, OpenSearch)
• PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow, Databricks, Kubeflow, Ray

• Explainable AI and model governance in regulated environments
