The team delivers AI agents and workflows, Databricks lakehouses and data pipelines, SaaS products, internal tools, and high-performance, scalable systems, alongside website design and ongoing maintenance. CrewLake also develops its own SaaS products in parallel with client work, offering flexible engagement models. The company is based in Bengaluru, India, and collaborates closely with clients through short cycles and frequent demos to keep progress transparent.

Role Description This is a 1 year contract, on-site AI Engineer role based in Bengaluru, extendable based on performance. The AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy AI models and systems for client products and internal SaaS initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate AI into data platforms, software applications, and business workflows. The role involves writing production-ready code, contributing to data pipeline design, monitoring model performance in live environments, and iterating based on feedback and metrics. The AI Engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
• Proficiency in Software Development using languages such as Python, and familiarity with modern development practices.
• Experience building AI solutions on Databricks. (Must Have)
• Ability to collaborate in an on-site team environment, communicate clearly, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in startup or fast-paced product environments and familiarity with AI agents, multi-agent systems, or SaaS platforms is a plus.
