Job Description

Position: School Accountant

Location: Unnao, Uttar Pradesh - 209861

Salary: INR25,000 - INR30,000 per month

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the school's day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Handle school fee collection, fee records, and reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash books, bank books, and vouchers.
• Perform regular bank reconciliation and monitor outstanding payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and MIS as required by management.
• Handle salary/payroll-related accounting and maintain employee payment records.
• Ensure timely compliance with TDS, GST, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, parents, and school management regarding financial matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
• Support the management in budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial planning.

Requirements

Eligibility & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com.) or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a school/educational institution.
• Good knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and basic taxation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record keeping.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
