Account Management Specialist

About the Role

A Pharma company is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Accounts & Finance Manager to independently manage the company's accounting and finance operations, statutory compliance, taxation and audit functions. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience, sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and preferably experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts & Financial Management
• Manage day-to-day accounting and overall financial operations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, budgeting and financial planning.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and entries.
• Statutory Compliance & Taxation
• Ensure timely GST, TDS and Income Tax filings and related compliance.
• Handle GST reconciliations, tax assessments and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and relevant authorities.
• Track changes in taxation and financial regulations and ensure timely implementation.
• Audit & Internal Controls
• Manage and coordinate internal, statutory and tax audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial records and explanations.
• Establish and maintain effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Identify financial discrepancies, risks and compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure audit readiness and timely closure of audit observations.
• Financial Reporting & MIS
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial performance statements.
• Analyse revenue, expenses, profitability and cost-control measures.
• Present clear financial reports and insights to management.
• Support management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Team & Department Management
• Supervise and guide the accounts and finance team.
• Set processes and ensure timely completion of accounting and reporting activities.
• Improve departmental efficiency, accuracy and accountability.

Preferred Industry Experience

• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical devices, surgical products or pharma distribution is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, stock valuation and batch-wise inventory management will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with industry-specific statutory and regulatory requirements is desirable.

Required Skills & Eligibility

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance.
• CA / MBA (Finance) or an equivalent relevant professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle audits, taxation and financial reporting.
• Working proficiency in Tally / ERP / SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

Up to ₹10 LPA, based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience and overall suitability.
