Job Description

As a Jenkins Developer, you will be a part of a development team that employs automation to build, test, and deploy software projects. As a DevOps expert, you will be a part of an onsite or a remote team and use Jenkins and other automation processes to manage projects.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Jenkins for (CI/CD) pipelines 
  • Designing and configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins 
  • Integrating Jenkins with version control systems to automate processes 
  • Implementing automated testing within Jenkins pipelines 
  • Configuring deployment jobs to automate the deployment of applications to various environments 
  • Managing Jenkins plugins to extend its functionality 
  • Implementing security measures within Jenkins 
  • Setting up monitoring tools and generating reports to track the health and performance of Jenkins jobs and pipelines 
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to build failures, deployment errors, and other pipeline-related problems 
  • Collaborating with development, testing, and operations teams to understand project requirements 
  • Evaluating and improving CI/CD processes by adopting industry best practices 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field 
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Jenkins 


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in using CI/CD tools and container systems like Kubernetes 
  • Strong understanding of release management process and product lifecycle 
  • Proven experience with version control systems like Git and SVN 
  • Experience with AWS, CloudBees Jenkins, Lambda, CloudFormation, and EC2 
  • Knowledge of Maven. ANT, Gradle and other build tools 
  • Experience with Apache Groovy, Apache Tomcat server 
  • Experience with building efficient, fault-tolerant, and self-healing services
