As an AWS Security expert, you will work cross-functionally to evaluate risk and help deliver countermeasures that protect customers and company data. You will also collaborate with engineering teams to create solutions for security problems.  

As an AWS Security specialist, your job responsibilities include: 

• Analyzing security requirements to create solutions for AWS services 
• Designing secure cloud solutions based on AWS services 
• Implementing security measures to protect AWS infrastructure 
• Managing identity and access management, network security, encryption, and data protection 
• Investigating and responding to security incidents 
• Conducting root cause analysis to implement remediation measures 
• Developing plans and strategies to ensure the security of cloud-based systems 
• Taking care of vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response 
• Identifying and addressing potential security risks by monitoring security systems and tools 
• Documenting and reporting on AWS infrastructure's security posture and providing stakeholders with insights and recommendations 
• Troubleshooting and resolving security issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement practical solutions 
• Providing training and guidance to teams on security best practices, ensuring awareness and adherence to security policies 
• Staying updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to improve security practices continuously 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty Certification 
• 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology Security field, focusing on AWS security 
• In-depth knowledge of AWS security components, services, and best practices 
• Certifications in information security (such as GCIA, CEH, AWS Security, etc.) 

• In-depth knowledge of AWS security services, including AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) 
• Understanding the security implications and configurations for various AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others 
• Proficiency in configuring IAM policies, roles, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) 
• Implementing least privilege principles and ensuring secure access controls 
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to AWS (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) 
• Experience in implementing and maintaining compliance within AWS environments 
• Configuring Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) settings with a focus on network security 
• Configuring and managing AWS Cognito for user authentication 
• Configuring and managing security groups, Network ACLs, and other endpoint security controls
