We are looking for a talented engineering graduate to join our B2C EdTech company as a WordPress Developer & SEO Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing our Science and Technology EdTech website. You'll work at the intersection of technical development and digital marketing, ensuring our platform is not only functionally robust but also discoverable and ranking well on search engines.

Develop and maintain WordPress websites using PHP, ensuring clean, scalable, and maintainable code

Implement Headless CMS architecture to create flexible, API-driven content management systems

Integrate Next.js for enhanced frontend performance and user experience

Deploy and manage website updates, security patches, and performance optimization

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks

Ensure responsive design across all devices and browsers

Maintain website uptime and implement backup/disaster recovery procedures

SEO & Technical Optimization

Conduct keyword research using Ahrefs, Semrush, and MOZ to identify high-intent, low-competition keywords

Optimize on-page SEO elements (meta tags, headers, schema markup, internal linking) using YOAST SEO plugin

Implement Geographical SEO (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies to capture local and featured snippet opportunities

Monitor rankings using Google Search Console (GSC), Ahrefs, Semrush, and MOZ

Create and execute content optimization strategies to improve search visibility and user engagement

Perform technical SEO audits (site speed, crawlability, indexability, Core Web Vitals)

Implement schema markup for educational content to enhance SERP visibility

Content & Digital Marketing

Collaborate with content teams to optimize blog posts, course descriptions, and educational resources for search intent

Manage content calendars and ensure all recent content is SEO-optimized before publication

Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to drive traffic and engagement

Analyze competitor websites using SEO tools to identify opportunities and gaps

Create landing pages optimized for conversions and search rankings

Track and report on key SEO metrics (organic traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions)

Analytics & Reporting

Monitor website performance using Google Analytics, GSC, and other tracking tools

Generate monthly/quarterly SEO and performance reports for leadership

Provide actionable insights based on data analysis

A/B test content, headlines, and CTAs to improve engagement and conversions

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

0–2 years of professional experience in web development or digital marketing

Proficiency in WordPress including theme customization, plugin development, and site optimization

Strong knowledge of PHP and JavaScript/Next.js

Hands-on experience with Headless CMS architecture and API integration

Demonstrated experience with SEO tools: Ahrefs, Semrush, MOZ, and Google Search Console

Proficiency with YOAST SEO plugin and on-page SEO optimization

Working knowledge of GEO (Geographical SEO) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) concepts

Understanding of keyword research methodologies and content optimization strategies

Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles and social media marketing

Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, GSC)

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
