About the Role

We are hiring a Windows QA / Test Automation / DevOps engineer to validate Everest's Windows stack — minifilter driver, user-mode services, and admin UI — using Sysinternals-based diagnostics and MSI-based release packaging, ensuring stable installs and upgrades on Windows Server.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test suites (NUnit/xUnit or UI automation) for Windows service and driver behavior
• Use Sysinternals tools — Process Monitor, DebugView, Process Explorer — to diagnose file-system, registry, and process-level issues
• Build and run API-level tests using curl/Postman against Everest's Windows-hosted REST endpoints
• Own MSI packaging and installer validation (WiX or similar), including upgrade/downgrade and driver install/uninstall scenarios
• Administer Windows Server test environments and author PowerShell automation for setup, teardown, and log collection
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for Windows builds (Azure DevOps or GitLab Windows runners)
• Document and reproduce defects with clear evidence (Process Monitor captures, DebugView traces, Event Log excerpts) before handoff

Mandatory Skills

Must-Have

• Windows test automation framework experience (NUnit/xUnit, or UI-level automation tooling)
• Hands-on use of Sysinternals suite: Process Monitor, DebugView, Process Explorer
• MSI packaging and installer testing experience (WiX or equivalent)
• API testing using curl/Postman
• Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting
• CI/CD pipeline experience for Windows builds (Azure DevOps and/or GitLab Windows runners)

Nice-to-Have Skills

Good-to-Have

• Basic WinDbg usage for first-pass triage of driver/service crashes
• Windows Event Log analysis experience
• Exposure to VMS/NVR or storage-tiering systems testing
• Experience testing kernel-mode driver install/upgrade/uninstall paths

Everest Platform Context

This role is the Windows counterpart to the Linux QA/DevOps position, ensuring the same install-time and upgrade-time discipline — such as correct conffile/config handling — is validated for MSI-based deployments of Everest on Windows Server.
