About the Role -

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President – Finance & Accounts to lead the organization's finance and accounting operations, financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic business partnering. This leadership role will oversee end-to-end financial management across India while supporting global finance operations and collaborating closely with international stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial reporting, controllership, treasury, taxation, compliance, FP&A, and shared services leadership within a multinational technology or software organization.

Key Responsibilities -

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Lead the organization's financial accounting, reporting, and controllership functions while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Ind AS, and US GAAP requirements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial close activities across multiple business entities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of management reports, financial dashboards, and executive performance reviews.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Drive enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis processes.
  • Develop financial models and performance metrics to support strategic planning and business growth.
  • Provide commercial insights and decision support to executive leadership through financial analysis and business intelligence.
  • Monitor business performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.

Treasury & Banking

  • Lead treasury operations, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
  • Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, credit facilities, and cash management strategies.
  • Support capital planning, foreign exchange management, and treasury risk mitigation initiatives.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations, including Income Tax, GST, transfer pricing, and international tax requirements.
  • Oversee statutory filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance with SEZ, STPI, RBI, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits while ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks.

Accounts Payable, Receivable & Procure-to-Pay

  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, collections, and vendor payment processes.
  • Ensure efficient credit management, billing accuracy, and working capital optimization.
  • Lead procurement finance activities and strengthen procure-to-pay governance.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Global Finance Operations

  • Manage offshore finance and accounting teams supporting global business operations.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership across international locations to standardize processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support shared services, resource planning, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Drive consistency in financial processes across global business units.

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Provide financial leadership to business heads by translating financial insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Support investment decisions, pricing strategies, business cases, and commercial evaluations.
  • Develop transfer pricing strategies aligned with international tax regulations.
  • Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, operational planning, and business transformation.

Leadership & Finance Transformation

  • Build and lead high-performing finance teams across accounting, FP&A, taxation, treasury, compliance, and shared services.
  • Drive finance transformation through automation, ERP optimization, analytics, and digital finance initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and talent development.
  • Champion process standardization and best practices across finance functions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounting leadership roles within multinational organizations.
  • Strong expertise in Financial Reporting, Controllership, FP&A, Treasury, Taxation, and Shared Services.
  • Hands-on experience with IFRS, US GAAP, Ind AS, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience leading global finance operations and offshore finance teams.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial controls, and finance process automation.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Software Product, SaaS, Technology, IT Services, or Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
  • Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) finance operations.
  • SEZ/STPI regulatory compliance.
  • ERP implementations and finance transformation programs.
  • Cross-border finance operations and multinational reporting structures.
