UK Accounting Professional | (Senior Associates / Associates) | Hybrid Mode

We are expanding our Mumbai team and are looking for UK Accounting Associates and Senior UK Accounting Associates who have hands-on experience working with UK clients. Whether you are early in your UK accounting career or have several years of experience managing client portfolios, this is an excellent opportunity to grow in an international accounting environment.

About the Role

Manage bookkeeping and accounting for UK-based clients. Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts, and financial statements. Prepare and review VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations. Perform accounts finalization and month-end/year-end closing activities. Process journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations. Assist in preparing corporation tax working papers and supporting schedules. Ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines. Work closely with UK clients and internal teams to resolve accounting queries. Maintain compliance with UK accounting standards and internal quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• CA, ACCA (Qualified or Pursuing), or equivalent accounting qualifications are preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and compliance requirements.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Dext, IRIS, TaxCalc, Silverfin, or similar platforms.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Associate: Minimum 6 months of hands-on UK accounting experience.
• Experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns, accounts preparation, and accounts finalization.
• Senior Associate: Minimum 3 years of UK accounting experience.
• Strong experience in accounts finalization, management accounts, VAT, and reviewing work prepared by junior team members.
• Experience managing client portfolios and mentoring team members is preferred.
