Book My Port is seeking a proactive and result-oriented Transport Supervisor in Visakhapatnam.

Position Summary

The Transport Supervisor will oversee road transport operations for Export-Import (EXIM) container movements, with a primary focus on Reefer (Refrigerated) Container Transportation. The supervisor will ensure seamless cold chain integrity, timely vessel cut-off adherence, strict safety compliance, and efficient driver/trailer allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Cold Chain & Reefer Fleet Management

 Ensure continuous operation of Gensets (Generator Sets) on trailers during transit and staging.

 Conduct strict pre-trip inspections (PTI) for reefer units, plugs, and cables before dispatch.

 Coordinate rapid response and backup power solutions in the event of equipment malfunction or temperature alarms.

• EXIM Operations & Port/CFS Coordination
• Fleet & Driver Supervision
• Safety, Maintenance & Compliance

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Graduate/Diploma
• Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience in EXIM container transportation, specifically handling Reefer containers and Genset trailers.
• Local Expertise: Sound operational knowledge of Visakhapatnam Port, VCTPL gate procedures, local CFS/ICD networks, and regional highway corridors.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of Reefer unit operations (Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin) and Genset handling
• Hands-on familiarity with GPS tracking platforms and Transport Management Systems (TMS)
• Working knowledge of customs sealing procedures and EXIM documentation flow
• Fluency in Telugu and basic knowledge of English is must
