Technical Lead – Data Engineering

Overview

Looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to build and scale data platforms and AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role combines architecture, coding, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and own scalable data pipelines and architecture
• Build and optimize ELT workflows using dbt
• Manage orchestration and data workflows (Airflow or similar)
• Deploy and manage services on Google Kubernetes Engine / or any cloud
• Optimize performance and cost (BigQuery or similar warehouses)
• Integrate ML/AI models into production systems
• Lead code reviews, enforce standards, and mentor engineers

Requirements

• 10+ years in Data/Software Engineering
• Strong in SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCS, IAM) or any other cloud (AWS/ Azure)
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, and modern ELT (not mandatory)
• Solid data modeling and performance tuning skills
• Prior team leadership experience

• GenAI / LLM / Vector search
• Large-scale datasets (100M+ records)
• BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
