Team Lead – DevOps

Location: Pune

Experience: 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred but not mandatory)

Requirements

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team by providing technical guidance, enforcing best practices, and driving engineering excellence.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable, scalable, and automated application deployments.
• Build and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to streamline build, release, deployment, and operational workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure infrastructure reliability, system uptime, and operational visibility.
• Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud environments through DevSecOps principles.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, resource utilization, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Manage and support containerization and orchestration platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Handle incident management, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives for production systems.
• Define, standardize, and maintain DevOps governance, operational processes, and technical documentation.
• Support high-availability environments and ensure adherence to SLA/SLO commitments.
• Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure provisioning, testing, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Stay updated with emerging DevOps technologies, cloud-native architectures, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and enterprise collaboration tools.

• Deployment frequency and reduced lead time for releases and changes.
• Reduction in deployment failures, downtime incidents, and rollback occurrences.
• System reliability, uptime, and SLA/SLO adherence across environments.
• Improved Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) incidents.
• Infrastructure cost optimization and efficient resource utilization.
• Increased automation coverage across CI/CD, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Security compliance adherence and reduction in infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure solutions.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure security, system administration, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, security policies, and compliance standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to define and execute DevOps strategies, roadmaps, and operational improvements.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills for managing DevOps teams and engineering initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Master’s / Postgraduate qualification preferred but not mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a leadership or DevOps Lead role.
• Proven expertise in managing production-grade infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-scale deployments.
