Store Manager – Furnace

Key Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, preservation and issue of furnace spares and consumables.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and prevent stock-outs.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Maintenance, SMS, Finance and Production.
• Conduct GRN, material inspection and documentation in ERP.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Plan periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO and proper storage practices.
• Track inventory KPIs and prepare MIS reports.
• Lead store personnel and ensure safety and 5S compliance.
• Support audits and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy or related discipline.
• 8–15 years of experience in steel plant stores, preferably Furnace/SMS operations.

Skills

ERP (SAP/Tally/Oracle or similar), inventory management, MS Excel, vendor coordination, analytical ability, leadership, communication and problem-solving.
