Role Overview

At Empowered Margins, we are reimagining the future of development by embedding AI at the heart of our engineering process. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable applications while leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot, GPT agents, and Cursor to boost productivity and innovation. You’ll work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow developers to deliver next-gen InsureTech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Development
• Integrate AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, GPT) into daily coding workflows for faster delivery.
• Experiment with AI-assisted code reviews (e.g., Codacy) and query generation in SQL.
• Automate repetitive development tasks and unit test creation using AI.
• Stay at the forefront of AI trends to lead adoption within the engineering team.
• Core Development
• Develop full-stack applications using ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, MVC (7/8.0).
• Build interactive UIs with Angular/React, Node.js, and modern front-end technologies.
• Create robust SQL Server 2022 / Azure SQL solutions with optimized queries and procedures.
• Design and integrate APIs (REST, Web API, WCF) for external systems.
• Participate in Agile sprints, code reviews, and cross-functional collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with .NET stack and front-end frameworks.
• Experience or strong interest in using AI tools for development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, GPT agents, Codacy).
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive innovation.
