Job Description: Data Engineer (6 8 Years) Snowflake, dbt & GCP

Position Summary

We are seeking a

Data Engineer

with

6 8 years of experience

in designing, developing, and supporting modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in

Snowflake

,

dbt

, and

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

, with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance data pipelines in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build, optimize, and manage data models, transformations, and data marts in Snowflake.
• Develop and support data ingestion pipelines on GCP.
• Write efficient SQL and Python code for data processing and automation.
• Optimize data performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.

Must-Have Skills

• 6 8 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (must have).
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt (must have).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, or Cloud Composer (must have).
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Airflow or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Snowflake and/or GCP certifications are a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
