Software Engineer-QA

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Support teams to analyze requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools and validate responses.
• Execute database validation using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
• Support automation initiatives by maintaining or developing automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Participate in release validation, production verification, and root cause analysis for reported defects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality standards.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT testing.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Good knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong SQL skills for database validation and data verification.
• Working knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to performance testing tools is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Software Testing or Automation Testing will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
