zMed is a healthcare technology platform live in hospitals today — powering ICUs, operating rooms, and wards with real-time vitals streaming from bedside monitors and ventilators, clinical charting, AI-assisted documentation, and more. Our stack is modern SaaS: FHIR R4 clinical data engine, multi-tenant web architecture, micro-frontends, and AI-native development workflows.

We're hiring Software Product Builders — not narrow specialists, but people who want to own a product from idea to a clinician actually using it at a bedside.

Two doors into this role

You qualify through either of these — you don't need both

• A software engineering education (CS/IT or equivalent), or
• Healthcare domain know-how or experience — nursing, clinical pharmacy, biomedical engineering, hospital operations/IT, or hands-on exposure to clinical workflows

If you bring one, we'll help you build the other.

What you'll do

• Take a product idea from concept → design → build → live deployment in a hospital
• Build across the stack of a modern SaaS/web platform — UI, APIs, data
• Work directly with doctors, nurses, and hospital teams; turn their feedback into shipped improvements fast
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools as a core part of how you build

What we look for

• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle — how software goes from requirement to release
• Understanding of SaaS / web application architecture (or the drive to learn it quickly)
• Passion for product development — you care about what gets built, why, and who uses it, not just closing tickets
• Integrity — non-negotiable when your software touches patient care
• Mental grit and acumen — hospitals run 24×7; you stay sharp, think clearly under pressure, and finish what you start

Nice to have (not required)

• React / TypeScript / Node.js exposure
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or medical devices
• Anything you've built and shipped — side projects count

Work mode

This is a full-time, work-from-office role in Bengaluru. No remote / hybrid / WFH — we build together, in one room, close to the problems we're solving. Please apply only if you're based in Bengaluru or ready to relocate.
