Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I)

Location: Gurgaon /Remote

Job Summary

As an SDET I at Enpass, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications across multiple platforms, including desktop, mobile, web applications, and browser extensions. You will collaborate closely with the Development, Product, and QE teams to design, automate, and execute test scenarios, helping deliver high-quality software to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Web applications, and browser extensions.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
• Work with the Cucumber framework for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Design, execute, and maintain automated test cases to validate application functionality, performance, and security.
• Document test cases, execution results, and defects using TestRail.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating and maintaining automated test execution.
• Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Explore and evaluate AI-powered testing tools and techniques to improve test efficiency and productivity.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, testing tools, and automation best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automation test scripts. Exposure to automation framework design is a plus.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and software testing best practices.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to testing desktop and mobile applications across multiple platforms.
• Basic knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
• Interest in AI-assisted test automation and modern testing practices.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts and data protection best practices.
