Software Developer (.NET Developer) (VB.NET / Oracle)

About the Role

We are looking for .NET Developers to join our development team, supporting and enhancing a large-scale enterprise web application built on the .NET Framework (ASP.NET WebForms/MVC hybrid) with an Oracle database backend, along with a companion Windows Service that runs scheduled background/integration jobs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web application features using ASP.NET WebForms and MVC (hybrid application, .NET Framework)
• Develop and maintain scheduled/background jobs running as a Windows Service
• Write and maintain VB.NET and C# code across business logic and data access layers
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Oracle stored procedures, functions, and PL/SQL
• Write and tune SQL queries for reporting, data access, and integration needs
• Debug and resolve defects in existing WebForms pages, MVC controllers/views, Windows Service jobs, and backend services
• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to translate requirements into working features
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding/release conventions
• Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of a long-lived, in-production system

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with VB.NET (and/or C#)
• Practical experience with ASP.NET WebForms and ASP.NET MVC, ideally in a hybrid WebForms/MVC application on the classic .NET Framework
• Experience building or maintaining a Windows Service (scheduled/background job processing)
• Solid working knowledge of Oracle Database, including:
• Writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, triggers
• SQL query writing, joins, and performance tuning
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Experience working with IIS and deploying/troubleshooting web applications
• Ability to read, understand, and safely modify existing (legacy) code
• Good analytical and debugging skills; attention to detail

Desirable / Nice to Have

• Exposure to C# in addition to VB.NET (or vice versa)
• Familiarity with version control systems (SVN, Git, or similar)
• Experience with ADO.NET (typed DataSets, DataAdapters) or ORM tools
• Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environments (education, finance, healthcare, etc.)
• Familiarity with reporting tools or libraries (e.g., PDF generation, Excel export)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Willingness to learn and work within an established, structured codebase
• Problem-solving mindset with a methodical approach to debugging

Ability to manage time across multiple tasks/tickets

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
