Role description
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an SEO, AEO, and GEO specialist to support and scale organic search performance across Grant Thornton U.S. digital platforms.
In this role, you will contribute to SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy and execution, with a focus on technical SEO, platform optimization, and authority building. You will help drive measurable outcomes, including traffic, engagement, and conversions.
A key focus of this role is optimizing digital experiences for modern search environments, including AI-powered results (AI Overviews) and large language models, ensuring content is structured, supported, and surfaced effectively across search platforms.
Skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SEO, AEO & GEO Strategy
- Support execution of SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy aligned to business goals
- Contribute to organic performance across assigned websites, service lines, or markets
- Identify short-term optimization opportunities and longer-term technical and structural improvements
Technical SEO & Platform Optimization
- Conduct technical audits and support issue resolution with digital teams
- Optimize crawlability, indexation, internal linking, structured data, and site performance
- Translate SEO, AEO, and GEO requirements into clear technical specifications
AEO / GEO & AI Search
- Support optimization for AI-driven search experiences, including AI Overviews and LLMs
- Recommend content structuring based on search intent and query behavior
- Leverage schema and content hierarchy to improve discoverability and citation
Keyword & Content Support
- Support keyword research and topic planning
- Provide SEO insights, SERP analysis, and competitive recommendations to content teams
- Guide alignment to EEAT and search intent (no direct content ownership)
Authority & Off-Page SEO
- Support backlink analysis and authority-building efforts
- Identify competitor gaps and link opportunities
- Ensure adherence to search engine quality guidelines
Analytics & Performance
- Track SEO performance using available tools
- Identify trends and provide actionable optimization recommendations
- Support testing and continuous improvement efforts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with other teams across our digital landscape
- Promote SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices across workflows
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years of hands-on SEO experience
- Experience supporting SEO, AEO and GEO strategy and cross-functional delivery
REQUIRED SKILLS
SEO & Technical
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, AEO, GEO and site structure
- Experience working with large or complex websites
AEO / GEO / AI Search
- Understanding of AI-driven search and search intent modeling
- Familiarity with LLM-driven discovery and structured content
Tools & Platforms
- Ahrefs, SEMrush, SimilarWeb, Screaming Frog, or similar
- GA4, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics
- AEM or similar CMS platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to AEO/GEO analysis or AI search experimentation
- Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments

EDUCATION
