Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking. In this role, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while also taking ownership of Content Whale’s organic search growth. Additionally, you will act as a strategic mentor to SEO Executives by reviewing, guiding, and approving their SEO plans to ensure consistent delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Internal SEO Growth
- Drive the organic growth of the Content Whale website across local and international markets.
- Develop and execute strategies to rank for service-focused and high-intent SEO keywords.
- Improve key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword visibility, and lead generation.
Strategic Leadership
- Guide SEO Executives in building effective, technically sound SEO strategies.
- Review and approve project roadmaps, content plans, and recommendations.
- Track performance across supervised accounts and ensure alignment with client objectives.
Client Management
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients as their primary SEO strategist.
- Lead onboarding sessions, project kickoffs, and roadmap discussions.
- Provide expert insights during client interactions, especially on technical SEO and search performance topics.
Technical & Content Strategy
- Conduct comprehensive technical, on-page, and off-page SEO audits.
- Develop strategies focused on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
- Perform competitor analysis, market research, and keyword planning to identify growth opportunities.
Operational Excellence
- Manage workflows efficiently using ClickUp and Notion.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and content teams to execute SEO initiatives.
- Perform regular QA checks and prepare actionable SEO reports supported by data and insights.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of crawlability, indexing, site structure, and Schema implementation.
- Advanced experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio.
- Expertise in SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Ability to evaluate and improve Core Web Vitals and website performance.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of SEO experience, preferably within an agency setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success in increasing organic traffic, rankings, and domain authority.
- Prior experience mentoring, reviewing, or supervising SEO professionals.

- Improved rankings for Content Whale’s target SEO service keywords.
- Consistent achievement of client KPIs across supervised accounts.
- High-quality execution, strong audit scores, and timely project delivery.
