We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with approximately 3+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Selenium and TestNG using Java and/or JavaScript, along with solid skills in API testing and backend validation using both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and/or Playwright, along with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python for automation. The candidate should possess solid experience in API testing, backend validation using SQL and NoSQL databases, and Linux-based environments.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality initiatives, designing scalable automation solutions, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI testing practices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and/or Playwright with Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured and validate backend services.
• Validate application data using SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Utilize Linux commands for log analysis, environment validation, troubleshooting, and server-side verification.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
• Lead defect triage, perform root cause analysis, and drive issues to closure.
• Mentor junior QA engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvements in automation coverage, testing processes, and quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Evaluate and leverage AI-powered tools to improve QA productivity and test automation efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and automation).
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and/or Playwright.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Python for automation development.
• Strong experience in API testing using Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with backend testing using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good working knowledge of Linux commands for testing, debugging, and log analysis.
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer and QA tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to improve productivity and software quality.
