Position: Senior Manual QA Engineer

Total Exp.: 10+ years

Job Location: Baner,Pune We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Manual QA Engineer with deep payments domain expertise to join our growing Pune team. This role is ideal for a payments professional who has built strong QA experience across global payment schemes and is looking to grow into a Business Analyst role over time.

You will work on complex, high-impact payments transformation programmes for tier-one global banks, validating payment flows across multiple rails, schemes, and core banking integrations. You will bring a tester's precision and a domain expert's intuition to everything you do. What You'll Do

Design, write, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios covering end-to-end payment flows across global payment schemes

Validate payment message formats, field-level mappings, and processing logic across SWIFT, SEPA, FedWire, CHIPS, and real-time payment schemes

Test integrations between payment hubs and core banking systems including accounting, balance checks, fraud & compliance, FX engines, and notification services

Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across payment transformation programmes

Analyse payment scheme rulebooks and translate requirements into comprehensive test scenarios including happy path, negative, and edge cases

Raise, document, and track defects with precision and clarity; work closely with developers and BAs to drive resolution

Participate in requirements reviews and contribute domain knowledge to identify gaps and ambiguities early

Produce test summary reports and communicate testing outcomes clearly to project stakeholders

Gradually take on BA-adjacent responsibilities such as requirements analysis, gap assessment, and stakeholder communication as you grow in the role Must Have

5+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on payments domain testing

Deep hands-on knowledge of global payment schemes, including

Cross-border payments (SWIFT MT/MX, GPI)

SEPA (SCT, SDD, SCT Inst — STEP2, EBA RT1, TIPS)

US payment schemes (FedWire, FedACH, CHIPS, RTP, FedNow)

Instant payment schemes (at least one of: TIPS, RT1, TCH RTP, FedNow, UPI, FAST)

Solid understanding of the end-to-end payments landscape, including clearing, settlement, and reconciliation

Strong knowledge of core banking system integration — how payment hubs interface with accounting, balance, fraud & compliance, FX, and notification systems

Experience testing ISO 20022 message formats (pacs.008, pacs.002, camt.056, pain.001 etc.)

Ability to write precise, comprehensive test cases from scheme rulebooks, BRDs, and functional specs

Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to articulate defects, risks, and test outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Genuine inclination towards a SME career path — intellectually curious, proactive in understanding the 'why' behind requirements, and able to engage confidently in business discussions Good to Have

Exposure to payment hub products such as Finastra GPP, FIS OPF (Open Payment Framework), Volante, ACI, Temenos Payments, or similar

Familiarity with SWIFT Alliance, SWIFTNet connectivity, or SWIFT MX migration testing

Experience working in an Agile / Scrum delivery environment

Basic SQL skills for back-end payment data validation

Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps

Prior exposure to payments consulting or system integration projects at global banks Who You Are A payments professional first — you understand payment flows deeply, not just test scripts
