Job Description & Responsibilities

Position Summary The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the lead analyst for Overlook Global's India Investment Team and is responsible for overseeing underwriting quality, managing transaction workflow, reviewing investment analyses, and supporting investment decision-making. This role acts as the primary liaison between the India investment team and U.S. leadership and ensures all investment opportunities meet Overlook's underwriting standards and investment criteria.

Core Responsibilities Investment Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage the India Investment Team
  • Review work produced by analysts
  • Train and mentor junior analysts
  • Establish underwriting standards and best practices
  • Allocate workload and manage team priorities
  • Ensure deadlines are met

Investment Review & Quality Control

  • Review underwriting models for accuracy
  • Challenge underwriting assumptions
  • Review market research and demand analyses
  • Validate revenue and expense projections
  • Review debt and capital structure assumptions
  • Ensure consistency across all analyses

Investment Committee Support

  • Prepare Investment Committee recommendations
  • Review Investment Memoranda
  • Summarize key investment risks and opportunities
  • Present investment conclusions to senior leadership
  • Coordinate IC package preparation

Transaction Management

  • Track active acquisition opportunities
  • Coordinate diligence requests
  • Manage transaction workflow
  • Monitor deal pipeline status
  • Coordinate with acquisitions and capital markets teams

Strategic Analysis

  • Evaluate portfolio performance trends
  • Conduct portfolio-level analyses
  • Research industry trends
  • Support strategic initiatives
  • Identify investment themes and market opportunities

Process & Systems Management

  • Maintain underwriting standards
  • Improve modeling templates
  • Develop analytical procedures
  • Support Overlook North Star platform development
  • Improve reporting and workflow systems

Compensation: 35,000.00 - 65,000.00 per month

Application Question(s)

  • How many years of experience do you have in financial analysis, underwriting, investment banking, private equity, commercial real estate, hospitality, lending, or corporate finance
  • How many years of experience do you have building financial models in Microsoft Excel
  • Do you have experience underwriting commercial real estate, hospitality assets, multifamily, office, industrial, retail, or other income-producing properties
  • Have you prepared investment memoranda, investment committee materials, credit memos, or transaction recommendations for senior leadership
  • Are you comfortable managing junior analysts and reviewing underwriting work product

Education

  • Master's (Preferred)
