Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Python/Bash scripting skills and deep, hands-on experience with AWS (or Azure) cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration. The ideal candidate designs scalable and secure systems, leads automation initiatives, owns observability, solves complex JSON and data-processing problems, and mentors junior engineers.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work confidently across application and infrastructure layers, including AWS architecture, infrastructure design, and networking fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud infrastructure
• Author robust automation in Python and/or Bash
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Provision and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform / Ansible)
• Own observability — metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
• Manage containerized workloads across Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Implement and enforce AWS security posture practices
• Design and troubleshoot networking — routing, Transit Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN
• Drive FinOps / cloud cost optimization
• Mentor junior engineers

Must-Have Skills

Scripting

• Strong scripting in Python and/or Bash

Cloud & Infrastructure-as-Code

• Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure
• Terraform or Ansible
• Core AWS services: CIDR/VPC/Subnets/Security Groups, EC2, ECS, ALB/NLB, S3, IAM Roles, RDS & DocumentDB, CloudWatch, Athena

CI/CD & Version Control

• Expertise creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; Git

Containers

• Solid, hands-on skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

Observability

• Solid experience with observability frameworks (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Datadog)

Security

• Good understanding of security posture practices on AWS (WAF, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Security Hub, KMS, least-privilege IAM)

Networking

• Deep knowledge of routing, Transit Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN

Good-to-Have Skills

• Multi-cloud knowledge of Azure and GCP
• AIOps
• API Gateway, QuickSight
• FinOps tooling and governance
• AWS certifications (Professional / Specialty preferred)
