About The Role

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to help accelerate the

rollout of our next-generation cloud infrastructure. We run a high-growth financial Portfolio

Management Software suite onboarding multi-billion dollar enterprise tenants. To support

our rapid growth, we are modernizing our architecture into a unified, high-compliance

automation ecosystem.

You will join a trusted, high-performing engineering team and work alongside an established

internal DevOps engineer. Your primary mission will be to take ownership of building and

deploying our new automated pipeline vision—standardizing on GitHub Actions, embedding

advanced security gates, and executing strict multi-tenant infrastructure isolation rules.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Rapid Pipeline Modernization (The CI Gate)
• Take the lead in building new production-grade GitHub Actions Workflows to

consolidate legacy setups across our V1 and V2 product lines.

• Configure and optimize GitHub-hosted runners (fully managed cloud VMs) to run

fast, parallel, and isolated testing processes.

• Embed strict, automated "Build-Breaker" gates directly into the Pull Request cycle,

including SonarQube code analysis, unit test runs (Jest / Vitest), and automated

vulnerability checks (npm audit). [1, 2]

• Node.js Build & Dependency Lifecycle Management
• Manage and optimize the Node.js application lifecycle inside CI/CD, demonstrating a

deep understanding of package.json, package locks, and script orchestration. [1]

• Configure efficient npm build and compilation steps to package lightweight,

production-ready Node.js bundles optimized for AWS Lambda storage limits.

• Own the continuous security scanning process by running automated npm

audit checks, diagnosing supply-chain vulnerabilities, and implementing automated

security patches (npm audit fix / npm overrides). [1, 2, 3, 4]

• Hybrid Infrastructure & Cloud Security (The IaC Strategy)
• Maintain and build foundational AWS networking, security configurations, and

database access controls using Terraform.

• Collaborate with Node.js development teams to pass Terraform variables cleanly into

application-level Pulumi (TypeScript) deployment scripts.

• Enforce password less cloud security configurations utilizing AWS OIDC Federation,

eliminating static AWS access keys from our codebase entirely.

• Release Automation & Storage (The CD Gate)
• Automate database schema migrations smoothly inside the release pipeline

using Liquibase.

• Configure multi-stage environment routes (Dev → Stage → Production) using GitHub

Environments with manual reviewer approval locks.

• Leverage native AWS Lambda Versioning and Aliases alongside GitHub Actions

Artifacts to build pristine deployment histories and guarantee 1-second rollbacks

during production issues.

• Strict Multi-Tenant Compliance Tagging
• Implement a rigorous, mandatory multi-tenant naming structure tracking across all

automated scripts: [ProductSuite]-[TenantName]-[Environment].

• Ensure absolute logical separation of cloud resources and Lambda functions to

protect the data boundaries of our enterprise clients.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Node.js Ecosystem: Deep, hands-on knowledge of Node.js tooling—expert

management of package.json, configuring optimized build pipelines (npm build), and

running/fixing dependency security flags (npm audit).

• CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience writing complex, production-grade GitHub

Actions Workflows.

• Infrastructure as Code: Solid command of Terraform is mandatory. A proactive

willingness to work alongside developers using Pulumi is highly valued.

• AWS Cloud: Practical experience managing serverless components, specifically AWS

Lambda (Versions, Aliases, traffic shifting) and secure VPC networking.

• Security & Testing Integration: Experience integrating code scanners (SonarQube)

and database migration tools (Liquibase). [1, 2, 3]
