Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS, Azure & Kubernetes

About the role

Applix is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Lead to support a leading global client in building, deploying, and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can guide a skilled DevOps team while remaining closely involved in cloud architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and production operations. What You’ll Do

Lead the implementation, deployment, integration, and successful delivery of cloud and DevOps solutions

Drive the adoption of continuous integration, code inspection, automated testing, and continuous deployment

Participate in product scoping, technical roadmaps, and architecture discussions

Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers while creating a collaborative engineering culture

Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code

Build and manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS

Ensure solutions align with business objectives, service levels, security requirements, and architectural standards

Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve reliability, automation, security, and cost efficiency

Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application deployment, and production issues

Collaborate with engineering teams developing microservices and cloud-native applications What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

8–10 years of overall DevOps experience

At least 4 years of experience leading or managing a skilled DevOps team

3+ years of hands-on experience implementing cloud infrastructure, IaC, and CI/CD solutions

Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS

Experience supporting microservices and cloud-native applications

Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB

Programming or scripting experience using Java, Python, Bash, or similar technologies

Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure security

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills Preferred

AWS certification

Experience operating large-scale, enterprise production environments
