Role Description The Senior Data Engineer (L3) – 8+ Years role at MindBrain is a remote, contract position focused on designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, and implementing scalable data models and warehousing solutions. This role involves managing ETL processes, ensuring data quality and reliability, and supporting advanced analytics and reporting needs. The Senior Data Engineer will also work on performance tuning, monitoring data systems, and contributing to best practices and standards for data engineering across the organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering, including building scalable data pipelines and managing large data sets.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design efficient, structured data environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to integrate and transform data from multiple sources.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to support business insights, reporting, and decision-making.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on modern data platforms and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala).
• Experience with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), big data frameworks, and workflow orchestration tools is highly beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote, contract setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
