Senior Data Engineer – Data Operations (Snowflake / Azure)

Role: Senior Data Operations Engineer Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week) Contract Duration: 12 months+ (With a Possibility-of-Extension) Work Schedule : 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri) Work Hours: 3:30am - 12:30pm EST Location : 100% Remote We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data operations, pipeline optimization, and cloud data platform management within a modern data stack environment. Key Responsibilities Build, manage, and optimize scalable data pipelines (ELT/ETL) Support Snowflake-based data warehouse and Databricks/Azure data environments Monitor and improve data pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Develop and maintain SQL and Python-based data solutions Work with orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory Perform code reviews, testing, and ensure data quality standards Collaborate with business users, analysts, and engineers to support data needs Implement automation and process improvements across data workflows Requirements 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Operations Strong SQL and Python skills Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms Experience with DBT, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows Nice-to-Have Databricks experience Cloud cost optimization and performance tuning experience Experience with enterprise data migrations Airline industry experience
