Senior Data Analyst – Plant Monitoring & Reliability

The core Senior Data Analyst is responsible for design, development, and implementation of modern data product offerings for the Reliability area. The role involves sourcing data from distributed on‑premise data systems to develop predictive or measurement models for product performance through data science methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical data designs and develop machine learning techniques along with front‑end development.
• Work on feasibility studies of new technologies through proof of concepts using engineering approaches.
• Design and support database for new (cloud) and existing data sources.
• Design and execute implementation of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Work with data science and analytics development teams across Vestas Value Chain, Product Design, M&A Module, and IT (Digitalization) to ensure best practices, performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM.
• Experience where data engineering and data science development were a major part of your work.
• Experience in automating software deployments, models (ML, AI) and tests, following a continuous delivery and deployment model.
• Experience with statistical modeling and predictions.
• Must-have technical skills: Databricks, Spark, Pandas, Python, Azure cloud, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Delta Lake, Git, Azure DevOps, testing, CI/CD.
• Familiar with statistics, signal processing, Jupyter notebooks, data testing, data science best practices, data science models, MS SQL, SSIS, SSAS (MDX/DAX).
• Good to have: Cloud infrastructure deployment and IaC, Snowflake, R, Kafka, C#, DevOps processes and associated tools, Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar.
