Senior Data Analyst — Knowledge Graph Pune · Full-time · Hybrid

About the Role The Senior Data Analyst will be part of the Data Engineering team, responsible for validating datasets, verifying benchmark query outputs, and tracing root causes of data discrepancies. The role requires close collaboration with Senior Data Engineers and contributes to the team's architecture assessment and technology recommendation. Success in this role means ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate datasets loaded into various technologies, including PostgreSQL, Neo4j, TigerGraph, NebulaGraph, ArangoDB, and MongoDB, to confirm completeness, accuracy, and structural integrity.
• Verify benchmark query outputs across technologies to ensure consistent and correct results.
• Trace root causes of data discrepancies and defects, distinguishing between ETL issues, schema translation errors, technology-specific behavior, and upstream data quality problems.
• Develop and maintain validation test cases and expected outputs for benchmark queries and compliance use cases.
• Support use case collection and triage, documenting compliance use cases and assessing which use cases require graph database capabilities.
• Apply statistical methods to evaluate dataset representativeness, sampling quality, and measurement reliability across benchmark runs.
• Produce data quality reports and summary statistics to inform the team's architecture assessment and technology recommendation.
• Maintain a running defect log tracking known data issues, their root cause classification, and resolution status.

Requirements

• Develop and maintain hands-on experience with graph databases, such as Neo4j, TigerGraph, or similar.
• Apply familiarity with graph data models, including property graphs, node/edge schema, and relationship taxonomies.
• Utilize domain knowledge in compliance, KYC/AML, or financial services data, including beneficial ownership structures, sanctions screening, and corporate ownership chains.
• Leverage familiarity with Bureau van Dijk / Orbis data or similar large-scale entity relationship datasets.
• Apply familiarity with knowledge graph or ontology concepts.
• Have 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
