Role Description

Hiring: Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure Migration)

DM Technology Services is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the migration of a production application from Supabase/Vercel infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.

This is a contract-based remote role responsible for designing and executing a complete cloud migration strategy using Azure-native services. The engineer will work on migrating databases, authentication systems, storage, server-side functions, hosting, and deployment pipelines while ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.

The role includes analyzing the existing architecture, rebuilding cloud services on Azure, optimizing performance, implementing security best practices, and completing end-to-end testing after migration.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration from Supabase + Vercel → Microsoft Azure
• Design and implement scalable Azure cloud architecture
• Migrate and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Configure authentication using Azure Entra ID / External ID
• Build and manage Azure Functions and App Services
• Implement secure storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage
• Configure secrets management using Azure Key Vault
• Create and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Support Next.js application deployment on Azure
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Document architecture, migration processes, and best practices

Qualifications

Required skills and experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform
• Experience working with Supabase architecture
• Experience with Azure App Service
• Experience with Azure Functions
• Experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Azure Entra ID (Azure AD B2C / External ID)
• Experience managing Azure Blob Storage
• Experience implementing Azure Key Vault
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of Node.js / Next.js applications
• Advanced PostgreSQL database knowledge
• Experience migrating production applications between cloud platforms
• Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Ability to work independently and deliver migration projects
