Job Description
This team member will help in implementing the business needs and core business functionality. We are looking for a highly motivated, technically strong contributor to implement business needs, support business functions, develop efficient code, and ensure the code is tested by writing unit and integration tests to ensure validity on business scenarios (existing or newly developed). In addition to writing code, the person should understand business and system requirements and be able to provide engineering solutions using sound solution design and proven practices. The role also involves supporting production releases as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure validity on business scenarios.
- Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and design.
- Provide application support and perform application troubleshooting as needed.
- Support production releases after thorough training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in software development.
- Strong programming fundamentals and algorithms, primarily implemented in Java.
- Proficiency in UNIX scripting (primarily bash), PowerShell, and Python.
- Ability to code independently with minimal oversight.
- Process-oriented with clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience working on agile projects and through all phases of agile development.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Bitbucket; hands-on experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business system analysts.
- Excellent cloud knowledge (AWS or Azure) and experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Route53, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Experience on AWS.
