SENIOR ANALYST ( DATA SCIENTIST )

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Bengaluru. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to understand key questions and apply advanced machine learning and time-series forecasting techniques. This role involves building robust data pipelines, mentoring junior data scientists, and deploying AI solutions across multiple domains like cognitive engineering and conversational bots.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Apply Python, SQL, and big data tools like Hadoop/Hive and Scala for statistical analysis and modeling.
• Develop and optimize time-series forecasting models, including feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning.
• Write clean, maintainable, and tested code that can be seamlessly integrated into production systems.
• Design and implement data pipelines to move analytical models from offline experiments to live environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, reviewing their work and fostering growth.
• Lead peer reviews and discussions to drive decision-making and share ML best practices across teams.
• Ensure deployed solutions meet high standards of performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics; or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 4–6 years of total work experience in a data scientist or analytical role, with 2–3 years specifically in time-series forecasting and demand planning.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, and data querying languages like SQL, Hadoop/Hive, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with feature engineering, hyperparameter optimization, and building machine learning models (including deep learning).
• Proven ability to produce high-quality, well-documented code and to lead technical discussions.
• Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), MLOps frameworks, and Azure tech stack is highly desirable.
• Experience in supply chain functions or applying AI/ML in CPG or Healthcare environments is a strong plus.
