Senior Accounts Manager

About the Role

We are a manufacturing business based in Madurai looking for a highly experienced Chief Accounts Manager to own the complete finance function independently. This is a senior role — you will handle everything from daily bookkeeping to auditor-ready final accounts, with zero hand-holding required.

You will report directly to management and be the single point of accountability for all financial compliance, statutory filings, and monthly reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounts

• Full bookkeeping on Zoho Books — sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and bank entries
• Daily cash and bank reconciliation
• Vendor payment scheduling and creditor reconciliation
• Payroll processing for factory workers including advances and recoveries

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• GST — monthly returns, reconciliation, e-invoicing, and input credit tracking
• TDS — deduction, deposit, and quarterly returns (26Q / 24Q)
• ESI and PF — monthly challan, employee registration, and compliance
• Professional Tax and labour welfare fund compliance
• Coordinate with CA for annual audit and income tax filing

Cost Accounting

• Raw material cost tracking and per-unit production cost calculation
• Variance analysis — actual vs standard cost monitoring
• Stock valuation and inventory reconciliation
• Cost MIS for management review

Final Accounts

• Prepare Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet
• Coordinate with auditor for finalisation and sign-off
• Maintain audit-ready documentation at all times

Reporting

• Monthly MIS report to management — P&L, cash position, outstanding payables and receivables
• Weekly cash flow update
• Flag any financial risk or compliance gap immediately

Requirements

Must Have

• B.Com / M.Com or CA Inter — CA Inter strongly preferred
• Zoho Books — hands-on, production-level experience is mandatory
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, ESI, and PF compliance
• Cost accounting experience — manufacturing firm exposure essential
• 5–10 years of experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing unit
• Tamil fluency; working English for audit and compliance documentation

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
