SAP BW - BEx & AO Front End Developer

Project

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented BW Frontend Developer to join our team under a staff augmentation arrangement. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the conversion of global reporting SAP BEx workbooks to Analysis for Office (AO) workbooks, including planning workbooks. The candidate will also support users in migrating and troubleshooting workbooks stored in their Favorites folders and local drives and work closely with a team of BW frontend and backend developers.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end conversion of SAP BEx workbooks to AO workbooks for global reporting scenarios.

Convert BEx planning workbooks to AO format where applicable.

Assist users in migrating and resolving issues with BEx workbooks stored in Favorites folders and local drives.

Troubleshoot and adapt BEx-specific formulas and VBA macros to AO-compatible equivalents.

Provide post-conversion support and enhancements for AO workbooks.

Collaborate with other BW frontend and backend developers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Identify and resolve issues independently, escalating blockers that may delay deliverables.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide timely updates.

Must Have Skills

Proven experience supporting BW 7.5 on HANA 2.0 environments.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

Demonstrated expertise in BEx to AO workbook conversion.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

Ability to troubleshoot and convert BEx-specific formulas and VBA macros to AO equivalents.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

Nice to Have Skills

Experience with BEx planning workbook conversion to AO.

Proficiency in VBA scripting for AO workbook automation.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented team setting.

Technology Requirements

Proven experience supporting BW 7.5 on HANA 2.0 environments.
