Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) DevOps Frontend Engineer with hands-on experience in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture), PWA Kit, React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance e-commerce storefronts while managing deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and production releases within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem.

The role requires expertise in modern frontend development, DevOps practices, API integrations, performance optimization, and SFCC deployment workflows. You will work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and Platform Teams to deliver enterprise-grade digital commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

Develop and maintain e-commerce storefronts using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFRA) and PWA Kit.

Build reusable React components, custom hooks, and shared libraries following SFCC best practices.

Convert Figma or Adobe XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect, and accessible storefront pages.

Develop applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.

Implement server-side rendering (SSR), routing, middleware, API routes, and static generation patterns.

Integrate storefronts with SCAPI, OCAPI, Shopper APIs, and Einstein APIs.

Build and maintain ISML templates, controllers, and SFRA cartridge structures.

Performance & Optimization

Optimize storefronts for Google Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP).

Implement lazy loading, code splitting, image optimization, and bundle optimization.

Configure structured data (JSON-LD), meta tags, canonical URLs, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml.

Improve SEO and AI crawler readiness.

Monitor performance using Lighthouse and Web Vitals tools.

DevOps & CI/CD

Deploy and manage SFCC cartridges across Sandbox, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.

Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

Manage deployments using sfcc-ci CLI and WebDAV workflows.

Deploy and maintain PWA Kit Managed Runtime applications.

Configure CDN caching, cache invalidation, and page-level cache strategies.

Manage environment-specific configurations and build pipelines.

Collaboration & Quality

Collaborate with Backend Developers, QA Teams, Designers, and Product Owners.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards using ESLint and Prettier.

Troubleshoot production issues, deployment failures, and performance bottlenecks.

Create and maintain technical documentation.

Mandatory Skills

4–6 years of Frontend Development experience.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).

Strong experience with SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture).

Hands-on expertise in PWA Kit development.

Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js.

Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.

Experience integrating SCAPI, OCAPI, Shopper APIs, and REST APIs.

Strong understanding of Business Manager, Page Designer, Site Preferences, Content Assets, and Catalog Management.

Experience with React Hooks, Context API, React Query, and state management.

Strong knowledge of SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, and middleware.

Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, and pull requests.

Experience with Webpack, npm, Yarn, pnpm, and frontend build tools.

Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Hands-on experience with sfcc-ci CLI and WebDAV deployments.

Experience with Managed Runtime deployment.

Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive development.

Knowledge of frontend security best practices, CSP headers, secure token handling, and dependency management.

Preferred Skills

Hybrid Headless SFCC architecture.

SFCC Page Designer component development.

Akamai CDN configuration.

Google Tag Manager or Tealium IQ.

Google Analytics 4 or Adobe Analytics.

Einstein Personalization.

Headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity).

Experience with Shopify Plus, commercetools, or Magento.

Agile/Scrum development experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
